In Lyon, we play "la boule lyonnaise". It is a game that consists in throwing a heavy bowl (more than 1 kilo) so as to reach a smaller one. You need to throw it with strengh and you use those bowls of the photos ! It is a very traditionnal game in Lyon, especially played by grandfathers !

I sat in a square in a little town in France and watched the older men playing this game. I never did figure out exactly how score was kept. It was fun to watch the competition between the players.
